In today’s world, social media and marketing often make us think that expensive clothing means being stylish. Because of this, some people think that they have to spend a lot of money to look stylish. True style, however, has nothing to do with the price of your clothes.

Style Versus Cost:
Style is priceless

Being stylish doesn’t mean wearing the most expensive designer labels or owning luxury brands. It’s about putting together outfits that show your personality, confidence, and authenticity. Someone wearing a thrifted outfit can easily stand out more than someone wearing luxury brands without care. For me, a clothing item’s price doesn’t define its style. I can find pieces in thrift stores or get them from friends or family. What matters is whether the clothing matches my personal style. Style is not about price tags, it is about self-expression.

Creativity Is A Powerful Force:
Chicness

Fashion is all about creativity. Mixing affordable pieces with vintage finds and second-hand gems can create a look that money can’t buy. Usually, those who have limited budgets find the most creative ways to express themselves through fashion.

Quality Is More Important Than Labels:
Stylish

Quality doesn’t always mean spending more. Learning to recognize good fabrics, craftsmanship, and timeless pieces can help you look better without spending a lot of money. Affordable brands, thrift stores, and second-hand shops frequently offer high-quality pieces discounted to the price.

Sustainability Is Always Important:

Choosing style over cost also helps with sustainability. Fashion’s high prices don’t always mean ethical practices or quality. Thrifting and shopping consciously reduces environmental impact and promotes a healthier planet.

Having Confidence Is Key:

Real style comes down to confidence. How you carry yourself, your attitude, and your genuine expression of yourself are what truly make your outfit stylish. Expensive clothes can never replace genuine self-assurance and authenticity.

 Conclusion:

A price tag should never define your worth or your style. Embrace creativity, focus on quality, practice sustainability, and wear your confidence proudly. Your style is your unique voice. Let it speak loudly, clearly, and authentically. Stay chic and stay you.

Gay African, Queer Igbo

WHY I’M GLAD TO BE A GAY IGBO MAN FROM NJIKOKA LGA OF ANAMBRA STATE AND WHY IT MATTERS

I am an Igbo man from Njikoka, proud of my identity as a gay person. Living at the intersection of culture and queerness, I embrace both my heritage and my truth. Growing up in a community rich in traditions, I’ve learned to navigate the complexities of being queer in a society that often demands conformity. My journey is one of remembrance and rebellion, showing that being gay does not diminish my Igbo identity; it enriches it. I aim to inspire young queer individuals in my community, proving that they are not alone and that their identities are valid parts of our shared culture.
