We embarked on an exciting road trip to Rovinj with a brief stop in Trieste for a break. Trieste provided us with the opportunity to enjoy delicious pastries and drinks at a cool Italian cafƩ. Arriving in Rovinj ahead of schedule, we had to wait over two hours to receive the keys to our accommodation.

Exploring Rovinj

After checking in, we quickly headed out to explore the city. The heat required some ice cream, which was a perfect treat as we strolled around.

Where We Stayed

We found a beautiful town house right in the heart of Rovinj. The place was both gorgeous and tidy, making it a cosy spot for our adventures.

Places We Visited

Cuvi Beach:
On our second day, we rented bicycles and headed towards Cuvi Beach. We were entertained by watching salsa dancers at their pool party. We hit a particular beach on the third day and stumbled upon a nudist beach on the fourth day after cycling around various beaches. Besides that, we finally settled at a lovely beach spot where we enjoyed watermelon and Ola went for a swim.

The Old Town:
Exploring the old town was a highlight of our visit. We enjoyed the historic charm, the beach, and the church, making for a wonderful day out.

What To Do When In Rovinj

Rovinj offers a mixture of beautiful beaches, historic sites, and delightful local cuisine. Renting bicycles is a great way to explore, and stopping at local cafƩs and restaurants adds to the experience. Rovinj is a beautiful town with many attractions. Some of my favourite things to do are:
Wander through the Old Townā€™s streets and soak in the colourful buildings, shops, and quaint cafĆ©s. For amazing views of the town and the Adriatic Sea, you should climb the bell tower at St. Euphemia’s Church.
Cuvi Beach is an ideal place to relax and enjoy the sun. Renting a bicycle is a great way to explore the surrounding area. The beach is beautiful and is not overcrowded.
Make sure to sample the local cuisine. L’Osteria Tutto Bene is a must, especially for the spicy tuna salad and marine noodles. Remember to check out local pizzerias and fresh seafood.
A boat tour is a good way to see the coast and nearby islands. The clear blue waters and beautiful views are breathtaking.
Strolling through local markets is a great way to see the culture of Rovinj. You will find fresh produce and handmade crafts, which are perfect for unique souvenirs.
Apart from Cuvi Beach, there are many other beautiful beaches to explore. Swim, sunbathe, and enjoy the clear water.
The nightlife in Rovinj is fantastic, with numerous bars and nightclubs. Thereā€™s something for everyone, from quiet drinks by the sea to lively dance clubs.
The town has a lot of history and culture. Visit local art galleries and museums to learn more about Rovinj’s heritage.
Rovinj is a great base for exploring the rest of Istria. Take a day trip to nearby towns like Pula or Poreč to see more of this stunning area.
If you are visiting Rovinj during a festival, don’t miss it. The town is full of music, dancing, and celebrations.
I hope that these tips will help you enjoy Rovinj as much as I did. This is a beautiful place with so much to offer.

Where And What We Ate

Lā€™Osteria Tutto Bene:

Here was the beginning of our culinary journey in Rovinj. We started with a house drink, and Ola shared a spicy tuna salad and Marine noodles with me. Aline had ravioli, and my partner had tuna with sauce.

Home Cooking:

On the second day, Ola cooked fried rice and chicken. We spent the third day walking around town, eventually grabbing take-away pizza and drinks to enjoy back at our flat.

Orlando Pizzeria:

We dined at Orlando Pizzeria on the fourth day. My partner and I enjoyed a platter of fish, squid, and vegetables, while the others enjoyed pizza and salad. We finished the meal off with ice cream.

Homemade Nigerian Food:

For brunch, Favour, and her boyfriend brought homemade Nigerian jollof rice, plantains, turkey, and a delicious egg omelette. Thereafter, we headed to the beach for a few hours.

Karta Pica:

This place was a hit with everyone. We all enjoyed the burgers, which were simply fantastic.

Lungomare Plaza:

We decided to do some shopping after returning the bicycles, where I bought a new perfume. We enjoyed cakes, homemade lemonade, water, and coffee. Later, for dinner, we prepared a delicious vegetable soup and noodles.

Hotel Adriatic:

On our last morning in Rovinj, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast at the Hotel Adriatic, enjoying the Istria Tower.

Pros And Cons
